Joining the Bearcats in Brooklyn will be Tennessee, Nebraska and George Washington, all three of whom were tournament teams this past season. The event will take place on the 27th and 28th of November in 2015. That is the last Friday and Saturday in November.
The match ups will be announced at a later date. If the Bearcats get matched up with Nebraska it would be the third time in three years that the schools will have met. Regardless of what the final match ups are the Bearcats are assured of two really good games for RPI purposes, a return to New York for Senior Shaq Thomas, and a chance to play in one of the better venues in the country.
The Bearcats have been much more aggressive in scheduling out of conference in recent seasons. This year they will be playing in the Emerald Coast Classic against Middle Tennessee State and Creighton/Ole Miss. Mick is not a huge fan of neutral site games and has a stated preference for home and home contests, but sometimes you have to go where the competition is. And the competition is at these one off pre season tournaments.
