Bearcats Try To Gain Ground In AAC Race Against South Florida

48 hours after the Cincinnati Bearcats picked up their biggest win of the season at SMU the Bearcats welcome the struggling South Florida Bulls to Fifth Third Arena.

In general you don't have to worry about this Bearcats team at home. On the year the cats are 12-1 with the only loss coming to VCU on the very day where Mick Cronin informed the team that he would not be available to coach the team that day. We all know that Mick was latter barred from coaching by his doctors and the team became Larry Davis's to run.

Run it he has, right into the thick of the AAC title race. On paper the Bearcats game with USF should not be all that close.

The Bearcats are the better team, by some margin. The Bulls are rebuilding in head coach Orlando Antigua's first season with very little depth and basically zero difference makers on the roster. But the knock on this Bearcats team is that they are all over the map with their effort, look no farther than last Sunday. But that was on the road, this is a home game, and that should make the difference.
