From the Video Vault: Zach Collaros Ruins USF's Evening in 2009

Filling in for Tony Pike, Zach Collaros led the Bearcats past 21st ranked USF in October 2009.

Zach Collaros is tearing it up in the CFL. Last Monday, I watched the former UC standout and his Hamilton Tiger-Cats drink the Toronto Argonauts' milkshake on ESPN2. Collaros threw for 3 touchdown passes in the Ti-Cats' 34-18 victory at their brand new home, Tim Hortons Field.

You can see Zach and the Hamilton Ti-Cats on two more occasions this summer on the ESPN family of networks.

On August 9th at 5 PM, the Ti-Cats host the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on ESPN NEWS.

On August 27th, Hamilton hosts the Montreal Alouettes at 7:30 PM on ESPN2.

There are a dozen or so other CFL games on ESPN2 and ESPN NEWS between now and Labor Day.

Summertime CFL coverage on the ESPN family of networks is my preferred gateway drug into football season.

Today's video vault takes the Zach Collaros story back to October 2009. When Tony Pike went down against the USF Bulls, Collaros filled in and kept our undefeated season going. He kickstarted our second half rout of South Florida with this third quarter, 75-yard touchdown scamper. We won 34-17 and I ate a large, "the meats" pizza from Papa John's to celebrate.
