Cincinnati earned a hard-fought conference home win against a tough Memphis squad, pushing the Bearcats record to 14-6 (4-3) on the season. Cincinnati and Memphis both found their scoring touch, but it was Cincinnati that closed out the game at the end. Cincinnati's defense continues to struggle against the three, but the Cincinnati offense clicked into gear when it needed to, spearheaded by Troy Caupain's 25 points and Shaq Thomas' 18 points, en route to a 76-72 win over the Tigers.

Head coach Mick Cronin spoke with the media following the game, talking about Caupain's performance and how he has had to adjust to his role in the offense. Cronin also spoke about how he believes the team is still adjusting to him being back on the sidelines and the renewed focus on tempo. Cronin also shared his concerns about Sunday's home game against Tulane.

Thomas and Caupain also spoke with the media following their best performances of the season. The Bearcats take the floor again on Sunday against Tulane.
