The recruiting process can be unpredictable. It can take a long time for a prospect to make a decision as he or she dropps top five lists via social media before eventually committing. It can also be a quick process.
Today, we have an example of the latter.
Jakari Robinson, a 6’2” 300-pound center from Munford, Alabama, received an offer from Cincinnati on Oct. 13 and just 12 days later, he has committed to the Bearcats.

Robinson is currently ranked the No. 27 center for the 2017 class and the No. 69 recruit out of the state of Alabama. He would follow in the footsteps of current Bearcats like offensive lineman Korey Cunningham and quarterback Hayden Moore as commits from the state of Alabama. He received offers from a host of schools, mainly from the FCS ranks, but he was offered by Southern Miss and received interest from Mississippi State and Navy.
Robinson is the 12th hard commit to UC for the 2017 class. The others include running back Jaelen Greene, defensive tackle Tyrone Chambers, defensive end Jamal Hines, tight end Will Huber, offensive tackle Cody Lamb, quarterback Desmond Ridder, outside linebacker Lorenzo McCaskill, kicker Cole Smith, offensive tackle Blake Yager, athlete Jalen Walker and offensive tackle Zenden Dellinger.
