What to Wear to UC Home Games in 2016

Here's a guide for what colors to wear seven days this fall.

We are getting close. Very, very, very close. College football season is almost here and the University of Cincinnati is giving the Bearcat faithful plenty of time to plan what to wear to each and every home game.

Based on this announcement, UC will host a blackout for its Thursday night matchup with the Houston Cougars on Sept. 15 as well as its tests against the BYU Cougars and the Memphis Tigers. The matchup with Memphis is slated for an 8 p.m. kickoff on Nov. 18 while the time of the Nov. 5 game against BYU has yet to be determined. As a reader pointed out, this plan means the Bearcats will be dressed in black to greet some of the other teams competing for a spot in the Big 12.

In the season opener on Sept. 1 against Tennessee-Martin, UC is encouraging fans to wear all white and repeating the sentiment a month later when the Bearcats attempt to exact revenge against USF. On the road last season, UC wore white with red helmets on the road against the Bulls so I’m not sure if all-white is the right move or not.

On Sept. 24 the crowd at Nippert Stadium will be striped in black and red as the Bearcats host the Miami-Ohio RedHawks and the Ring of Red will be on Oct. 22 against East Carolina.
