Tommy Tuberville and the Cincinnati Bearcats are off to a 2-0 start after an impressive 38-20 road win last weekend over Purdue. On Thursday night, they look to pull off a big upset at home against a widely heralded Houston Cougars football team.
The sixth-number ranked Houston Cougars football team is the defending AAC Champion. Led by second year coach Tom Herman, the Cougars earned a spot in college football’s upper echelon last season by posting a 13-1 overall record and upsetting Florida State in the Peach Bowl.
Houston enters Thursday night’s game with a 2-0 record. In week 1, Houston surprised many college football fans by knocking off the third-ranked Oklahoma Sooners, 33-23. Last weekend, Houston defeated a clearly overmatched Lamar Cardinals team 42-0.
