  • Series history: UC owns an incredible winning percentage against Houston (.931), winning 27 of 29 all-time matchups. However, the two teams split last year’s meetings with the home team coming out on top each time.

Even though Houston is not a ranked team, the Cougars will present plenty of challenges to the No. 22 Cincinnati Bearcats when the two teams meet up in an American Athletic Conference clash at Hofheinz Pavilion.

At 12-2 and 2-0 in league play, UC is in the midst of a fine season, with its most recent result a 92-56 rout of Tulane, which was powered by a tremendous showing from three-point range. The Bearcats have won five-straight and will try to make it six on Saturday. This will be just the fourth true road game of the season for UC, which is 2-1 in such contests.

Houston (12-3, 3-0) won 22 games last season and has picked back up from where it left off. The Cougars have won their last three games, all in league play, after a 57-56 loss to Harvard right before Christmas. That was the only loss they have suffered at home in eight tries this season.
