The Cincinnati Bearcats women’s basketball team suffered their second straight defeat last evening, falling on the road to a physical and athletic Pitt Panthers team, 65-48.
The 2-2 Bearcats were led in scoring by Ilmar’I Thomas, who posted 12 points on 3 of 4 shooting.
Cincinnati proved no match for Pitt, who took control of the game in a lopsided third quarter that transformed a 30-30 tie game into a blowout awfully quickly.
Senior guard Aysia Bugg led the now 2-2 Panthers with 23 points.
Next up for the Bearcats is a trip to Missouri. On Sunday afternoon at 1 PM, the Bearcats visit St. Louis University for a matchup with the always difficult Billikens.
