The Cincinnati Bearcats locked up their spot in the NCAA Tournament when they won their second-straight American Athletic Conference Tournament championship, but now we know exactly where they’ll be playing in the bracket. The Bearcats were named a No. 7 seed in the South Region where they will play the No. 10 seed Iowa Hawkeyes.
Even if they hadn’t won the league title on Sunday, the Bearcats were essentially a shoe in for the field. They went 25-6 during the regular season and were ranked No. 24 in the country in last week’s AP Top 25. They have now made the NCAA Tournament in nine consecutive seasons.
On the other side of this equation is Iowa, which we will get to know much better in the next few days. For now, here’s a quick rundown of the Hawkeyes’ resume.
