Butch Jones and Co. are really on a roll right now. Ryan Leahy jumped on board today a week after visiting a UC practice. Leahy is another good looking prospect. Physically he will be close to ready by the time he steps on the field at UC. Right now he is a pretty solid looking 6'6" 250 so he passes the looks test. While he plays defensive end for LaSalle in their 3-4 I highly doubt he sticks at DE in UC's 4-3 scheme through all four years. Like I said he is already 6'6" and 250 and he looks very thin at that weight. Get him in a college strength and conditioning program and he will be a more chiseled and well defined 280 in a year. The best case scenario would be for him to be kind of a hybrid DT/SDE, which is what I think is the fate of Camaron Beard this year. Versatility is the name of the game and having guys up front who can play multiple positions is invaluable, particularly when it comes to modern day defensive line techniques in this day and age. Leahy chose the Bearcats over offers from N.C. State, West Virginia, Illinois and half the MAC. Another big get for the Bearcats on the recruiting front.
