Akron Copley Running Back Aregeros Turner Pledges Bearcats

It has been a very long time since the Bearcats had any news of significance on the recruiting front. Robert Davis committed on the 30th of July which capped a fast and furious 8 days in which Butch Jones racked up 6 commitments. Since then nothing, until Akron RB Aregeros Turner made it number 17

It has been a long time in coming, but Butch Jones and Co. are back on the recruiting grind. Akron running back Aregeros Turner has committed to play for Butch Jones and the Cincinnati Bearcats. The consensus three star player fielded offers from Washington, Tennessee, Illinois and Purdue before cutting his list, then deciding for the Bearcats. As per usual the Bearcats coaches worked their asses off to land Turner after entering the picture late.

"I like the coaches a lot," Turner said. "They just offered me about two months ago. They had been showing me the most interest the past month or so. I know some kids on the team and the coaches told me I will get an opportunity to play next year. It just depends on how bad I want it."

And the rich get richer at running back. Next year the RB meeting room will have Jameel Poteat, RDA4, Ti'on Green, Deionte Buckley, Robert Davis, Marcus Levy and now Turner. Roy Manning has to love that.
