  • Cincinnati is 2-2 entering another primetime Thursday night clash with an undefeated team. After falling to 3-0 Memphis on the road last week, 53-46, the Bearcats return to Nippert and welcome in the 3-0 Miami (FL) Hurricanes who are coming off a bye week.

Much like Memphis' Paxton Lynch, sophomore signal-caller Brad Kaaya presents an interesting challenge defensively for a Cincinnati unit that has struggled mightily in two consecutive weeks as injuries, once again, take their toll on the Cincinnati football team. The Hurricanes, despite fading from the national perspective in recent years, still fields a roster loaded with talent which will challenge the Bearcats on both sides of the ball, especially if much-maligned head coach Al Golden can get the talented Hurricanes on the same page.

Freshman quarterback Hayden Moore is making his first career start for the Bearcats, in place of Gunner Kiel who is still on the injury report. Moore, in just over three quarters against the Tigers, threw for 557 yards, a new school and conference record. With Moore, the Cincinnati offense still has the chance to be explosive, but there is a lot of "wait and see" for Bearcats' fans heading into the game tonight.

For what it's worth, the all black uniforms are going to look great. Hopefully the game - from the Cincinnati perspective - follows suit.

This is your forum. Feel free to leave your thoughts as the game plays out tonight.
