Cincinnati Athletics: Women's Soccer Knocks Off No. 18 USF

Women's soccer has been rolling since the last check-in, going unbeaten in nine straight matches.

Women's Soccer is 5-3-0 since Colorado road trip.

The University of Cincinnati Bearcats women's soccer team racks up five wins and three ties since Sept. 11.

Sept. 11 - Cincinnati defeated St. Francis (Pa.) 2-0 behind the play of senior Danielle Rotheram. Rotheram scored one goal and earned an assist. Freshman Jordan Cotleur scored Cincinnati's first goal of the match in the 62nd minute. Rotheram scored in the 70th minute. Full recap courtesy of GoBearcats.com.

Sept. 13 - The Bearcats earned a second win in a row with a 3-2 win over Duquesne. Rotheram led the team again with a hat-trick, scoring in the 51st, 72nd and 79th minutes. It was the 22nd hat trick in Cincinnati history and the first since Sept. 10, 2010. Full recap courtesy of GoBearcats.com.

Sept. 17 - Despite double overtime, Cincinnati finished their game against Long Beach State with a 2-2 tie. Cincinnati fell down 1-0 early, but came back to equalize on a Kelsey Parrinello goal. Senior Kelly Latimer scored in the 72nd minute, but LBSU tied it up with just under a minute left in the game. Full recap courtesy of GoBearcats.com.

Sept. 20 - Cincinnati drew a match against rival Xavier, 0-0. The Bearcats took 27 shots with 13 on target, but none found the back of the net. Full recap courtesy of GoBearcats.com.

Sept. 24 - The Bearcats drew a third straight game with a 2-2 tie with SMU. It extended Cincinnati's unbeaten streak to six straight matches. Cincinnati played most of the game a player down with Laura Rose earning a red card only 21 minutes in. Sophomore Jaycie Brown scored both goals for the Bearcats, the first in the 62nd minute and the second in the 89th, forcing overtime. Full recap courtesy of GoBearcats.com.

Sept. 27 - Cincinnati got back to winning with a 1-0 win over Houston. Sophomore Julie Gavorski scored the lone goal in the 64th minute. Full recap courtesy of GoBearcats.com.

Oct. 2 - The Bearcats upset No. 18 USF with a 1-0 victory. Brown scored the lone goal in this one with a shot chipped right over the USF goalie in the 45th minute. Junior Natalie Smith recorded 10 saves for the Bearcats. Full recap courtesy of GoBearcats.com.

The Bearcats play again Thursday night at 7 p.m. against Temple in Philadelphia.
