This day is always a bittersweet one in the Opper household. The Final Four is great, but this is the last big weekend of college basketball, and it is always bittersweet to see it go...but go it must. The match-ups today are pretty enticing. You have a pair of blue-bloods squaring off in Syracuse in Michigan State and Louisville. In the west you have Duke and Gonzaga meeting in a cavern in Houston.
No one thing stands out in these games like the Notre Dame v. Kentucky game did yesterday. The MSU-Louisville game is interesting because no one expected either team to be in this spot, even though Tom Izzo and RIck Pitino are two of the best in the business when it comes to March. On the flip-side you have Gonzaga finally making it back to an Elite Eight almost 20 years after breaking onto the scene. Standing in their way of a first-ever Final Four is Duke, because of course it's Duke. Settle in and send your significant other on a 5-hour errand run...you have things to do on CBS.
