Women's Volleyball
Bearcats Women's Volleyball wins Cleveland State Classic
The University of Cincinnati women's volleyball team defeated Binghampton, Central Michigan and Cleveland State last weekend, winning the Cleveland State Classic.
The Women's Volleyball team swept Binghampton in three sets (25-14, 25-22, 25-16) in their first match last Friday. They were led by senior Emma Roberson, who recorded a match-high and season-high 16 kills.

The Bearcats faced off with Central Michigan the following day (9/5) and defeated Central Michigan 3-0 (25-23, 25-19, 25-23). Freshman Jade Tingelhoff finished with 20 assists and a career-high 13 digs, recording her third double-double of the season.

Cincinnati faced off with host Cleveland State University in the Cleveland State Classic championship, winning 3-1 (25-15, 17-25, 25-16, 26-24). Sophomore Maya Muldrow, freshman Carly Nolan and freshman Abby Williams were named to the All-Tournament team. Sophomore Cortnee Bowser was selected as the Cleveland State Classic Most Valuable Player.

The 5-1 Bearcats next take the court today at the Butler Tournament in Indianapolis, Ind. against Northern Iowa starting at 2 p.m.
Women's Soccer
Women's Soccer splits road trip in Colorado.
The University of Cincinnati Bearcats women's soccer team falls to Colorado, but defeats Colorado College, pushing their season record to 3-2-1.
The Bearcats traveled to Colorado last weekend to face off with Colorado and Colorado College. On Friday, Sept. 4, the women's soccer team fell 1-0 to the Colorado Buffaloes. The lone goal for the Buffaloes was scored in the 48th minute off the crossbar, in what was a close loss for the Bearcats.

On Sunday, the Bearcats faced off with the Tigers of Colorado College, winning that one 2-1 behind goals from freshman Jordan Cotleur and senior Danielle Rotheram. Cotleur's goal came in the 66th minute after the Bearcats fell behind 1-0 right before half. Rotheram scored the game-winning goal in the 84th minute.

The Bearcats play today against Saint Francis (PA) starting at 4 p.m. in Loretto, Pa. They are on the road again Sunday against Duquesne.
Men's Soccer
The Bearcats took on Virginia Tech and Wright State this past week and took losses in both outings.
The University of Cincinnati men's soccer team took losses in its last two games. They lost to VT 5-1, Adam Wilson netted the lone goal for the Bearcats. The loss was the first of the 2015 campaign and made the Bearcats drop from 2-0 to 2-1.

They then took on Wright State Monday, losing that game 3-0. The score was tied at half, but the Raiders took off in the second half picking up the pace and scoring three goals.

Men's Golf
Men's golf are getting things going today at Kiawah Island, South Carolina in The Invitational at The Ocean Course.
Women's Golf
The women's golf team will get their season started officially on Monday, Sept. 14 at the Memphis Intercollegiate in Memphis, Tennessee.
Cross Country
The men's and women's cross country teams start their seasons with strong showings at the Queen City Invitational.
The men's and women's cross country teams got their seasons started last Saturday with the 34th Annual Queen City Invitational in Mason, Ohio. The men's team won the team title and the women came in third overall.
Sophomore Seamus Collins and junior Anthony Car finished sixth and seventh, respectively, both finishing in under 19 minutes to lead the men's team.
Freshmen Juliana Madzia and Vanessa Robinson led the women's team with 11th and 13th finishes, respectively.

The first action for the men's and women's swimming and diving teams is the inter-squad Red & Black Meet on Friday, Sept. 11 at Keating Aquatics Center. The event starts at 4 p.m.
