Analysis
This is a great add for the Bearcats. Doaks is a very exciting athlete and one who can do a lot with the ball in his hands. He runs with great power and has very good breakaway speed for a running back who weighs in at just under 200 pounds.
He runs with a sort of "no nonsense" mentality. He breaks tackles and, although he is shifty enough to make people miss, he isn't afraid to initiate contact at the second level or throw out a stiff arm. He does a great job navigating traffic and has good vision. Additionally, he seems to possess good hands.
Doaks was recruited by wide receivers coach Blake Rolan and could be stepping in as a slot receiver. I personally love watching him play the running back position, but either way, his versatility is fantastic. He could play a variety of roles for the Bearcats, even though a redshirt is likely his immediate role on the team. He will be one to watch as his career progresses.
