Rashaad Stewart received an offer from Cincinnati last May. He didn’t make his decision about where he would attend until yesterday. You can call it the Luke Fickell effect if you want. I certainly will be doing that. Just a day after four-star local athlete Jarell White committed to become a Bearcat, Stewart did the same thing, announcing his intention via Twitter.

Stewart is a three-star recruit according to Rivals and a two-star recruit according to 247Sports. A cornerback by trade, Stewart is ranked as the No. 213 player at his position for the 2017 class and the No. 323 prospect out of Florida. He chose Cincinnati over a number of other teams that offered him including Vanderbilt, Louisville and Boston College.
Its been a busy week for Fickell outside of adding players, as he has also been busy fleshing out his support staff. We are just five days into 2017 so at this pace, Fickell will have recruited every player in the country and added every single coach to his staff by year’s end.
