Luke Fickell is Appropriately Concerned About Tulsa

Coach Fickell made me feel awfully vindicated at his Wednesday press conference.

I’ve felt a little bit like Chicken Little this week but Cincinnati Bearcats head coach Luke Fickell has expressed appropriate concern about Tulsa, particularly their robust defense.

In a wide ranging discussion, Fickell showed a keen awareness of Tulsa linebacker Zaven Collins’ disruptive play, not only as a pass rusher but also in coverage and in the running game.

Fickell also offered plaudits for Tulsa’s diverse offensive capabilities and the consistently good job that Philip Montgomery does with this program.
