In 2019, turned heads for the Cincinnati Bearcats, posting 39 catches for 504 yards with 7 touchdowns. He earned first-team All-AAC honors and an invite to the Senior Bowl.
He impressed the Green Bay Packers enough to use a third round pick on him.
In Packers training camp, the UC great did not disappoint. Head coach Matt LeFleur has gushed over Deguara, noting his versatility as both a blocker and a receiver. He described the former Cincinnati tight end as an excellent route runner as well. Deguara is expected to line up in a number of locations for Green Bay and play a prominent role in the passing game.
The former Cincinnati star’s adaptability fits well into the Packers’ offense scheme, which is built around deception and creating mismatches by lining up in a wide range of formations.
