Of all of the new teams the Bearcats have the most history with Houston, and its not even close. The two schools have played 21 times over the years. The schools played in 13 of 19 seasons between 1957 and 1975 with Houston winning 10 of those. After 75 it would be 18 more years before the cats hooked up again, this time in Conference-USA.
The Bearcats dominated the match up during the C-USA era winning 6 of the 8 contests. Now it is back after a 12 year hiatus thanks to conference realignment. Houston will be the best team the Bearcats will face on the road this season. A win heading into the pre Louisville bye is going to be crucial.
