The American Conference released their all conference lists today, and four Bearcats were named first team All AAC, and Andrew Gantz was named second team all conference for his efforts as the Bearcats place kicker

There are plenty of things for Bearcats to get indigent about with these all conference selections, and that is coming. But first we have to give recognition for the Bearcats who were so honored. It's fitting that Parker Ehinger and Eric Lefeld were both named to the first team taking two of the available spots. The Bearcats front was ridiculously good all year long, but it reached another gear in conference play when the Bearcats embarked on their winning streak. Lefeld and Ehringer were by far the Bearcats best linemen from start to finish, and it is particularly good to see Ehringer get some recognition for his consistently high level of play.

Likewise It is good to see two of the Bearcats three best defenders get first team nods. Jeff Luc might have fallen off a bit from his early 16 tackles a game pace, but he still managed to top 10 stops a game for the year and became the 6th middle linebacker in as many years to top 100 tackles for the year. He also forced all of the fumbles and recovered almost all of said fumbles. He was dominate from the word go in 2014. Likewise Terrell Hartsfield was by far the best defensive lineman this year for the Bearcats. He led the American Athletic Conference in sacks and was commanding double teams by the end of the season. His consistency played a big role in the improvement of the Bearcats defense.
