Here are your Week 8 USA Today Coaches Poll and the AP Top 25 Poll. Michigan State remains atop both polls with Kansas ranked No. 2 in the AP Poll and Oklahoma at No. 2 in the Coaches Poll. Maryland and Virginia are ranked No. 4 and No. 5 in both polls, respectively. Xavier falls in a No. 6 in both polls, still sporting an undefeated record.
Cincinnati, following a tough 81-79 loss to Iowa State nearly a week ago, comes in at No. 22 in the AP Top 25 and No. 23 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. Falling to the Cyclones, ranked No. 11 in the AP Poll and No. 9 in the Coaches Poll, didn't hurt the Bearcats ranking in the AP Poll, as they were ranked No. 22 last week as well. They did drop from No. 21 in the Coaches Poll, following the Iowa State loss, to their current No. 23 ranking.
The loss to Iowa State comes as a disappointment for a team looking for a resume building win. Cincinnati now must get their AAC Conference schedule underway with a game against Temple tomorrow.
