Unless you have been living under a rock, you have probably noticed that the 2015 MLB All-Star Game was held in Cincinnati this year. And unless you have no contact to a radio or internet, you have probably heard the song "Shut Up and Dance" by Walk The Moon. The Cincinnati-based band opened the 2015 Home Run Derby by singing their smash hit at Great American Ballpark.
And then, someone decided to ask Walk The Moon if they would play at a UC Football game:
Hey @WALKTHEMOONband, it's great to have you home. You DO know we want you to be here for a @Bearcats_FB huge game! DM us. We are serious!

A band like Walk The Moon probably gets this all the time, but because they are from the city of Cincinnati, it would mean a little more if the guys stayed around and played at a UC football game WITH the 250 member UC Bearcat Bands.
You know @WALKTHEMOONband, we have a few hundred musicians waiting to play with you @TUCBIDG. The UC Band! We want to see you #nippert2015

What started out as a minor suggestion eventually gained enough presence that the Walk the Moon reps responded. Unfortunately, the band will be touring this fall and will be unable to come to a Bearcats game. Hopefully, something can be worked out in the future.
#Bearcats. @WALKTHEMOONband did hear us. Reps impressed by our passion. Band starts tour & can't make 2015 work, but talks 4 future ongoing.

The power of Twitter is impressive.
