Bearcats Add Two More 3 Star Recruits to 2017 Class

The 2017 recruiting class continues to take shape.

Sunday June 20, 2016 will forever be remembered as one of the best television nights in human history. The "Battle of the Bastards" episode of Game of Thrones (don't worry, no spoilers coming) and the stunning finish to the NBA Finals culminated in a firestorm of hot takes, celebratory videos and other such reactions.

However, while the rest of the world was focused on Westeros and Oakland (and then Cleveland), Wil Huber was focused on the Queen City. Huber, a tight end recruit from Indianapolis, officially committed to Cincinnati on Sunday night. It was a quick turnaround from offer to commitment, as Huber received an offer on June 10, the same day he attended camp at UC. As we highlighted last week, Huber is a three-star recruit who stands at 6'5" and weighs in at 225 pounds. He is listed as the No. 70 tight end prospect in the 2017 class by 247Sports and the No. 20 recruit in the state of Indiana. Some highlights from his junior season can be seen below.

Huber committed just a few days after three-star defensive end Jamal Hines made his commitment to UC. Cincinnati was the first and only team to offer the Cincinnati-native. Hines plays at Princeton and is ranked the No. 45 recruit in Ohio overall by 247Sports. He stands at 6'2" and weights in at 216 pounds. Check out highlights from this past season below.

Tommy Tuberville's staff now has added seven hard commits to the 2017 class. Huber and Hines join quarterback Desmond Ridder, running back Jaelen Greene, wide receiver Jordan Merrell, athlete Jalen Walker and offensive lineman Blake Yager.
