It hasn’t been pretty of late

Among Cincinnati’s AAC rivalries, this is one of the ugliest.

Memphis just seems to have Cincinnati’s number. In recent years, it has been the meanest of times when we face the Tigers.

The Bearcats have lost their last six matchups against Memphis, a losing streak that dates back to 2013.

Overall, Memphis leads the series 23-13, having held a substantial lead in the series from almost its outset in the late 1960s.

Thankfully, Saturday’s 12 PM matchup with the Tigers is at Nippert Stadium. Overall, the Bearcats are 8-8 at home against Memphis. On the road, they are a dreadful 5-15.

Memphis is the only AAC team that Luke Fickell has yet to defeat, though the Bearcats came close last year, losing a heartbreaker on the road 29-24.

Check out the highlights from last year’s matchup, which featured a #20 Cincinnati club against a 17th ranked Memphis team.
