The Cincinnati athletics department announced yesterday that the Bearcats have added a date with the Army Black Knights to their 2020 football schedule.
The Bearcats and Black Knights will face off on Saturday September 26th at Nippert Stadium.
A return date is set for 2031 at Michie Stadium in West Point.
Cincinnati and Army have played six times, splitting the series evenly at three games a piece. Five of the six match-ups took place in a series that ran between 1998 and 2004.
This September 26th game will be the rubber match in a more than half-century long best of seven series.
The Bearcats have won three of the last four match-ups between the schools but fell to the Black Knights in their most recent game in 2004.
Here are the highlights from Cincinnati’s most recent match-up with Army, a 48-29 defeat at the hands of a Bobby Ross coached club. The win snapped Army’s 19 game losing streak.
