Yesterday Carl Pelini was relieved of his duties at Florida Atlantic. They are in the market for a new head coach, and Eddie Gran is rumored to be on the shortlist.
Would think guys with #OhioSt ties to AD Pat Chun will have a shot at FAU vacancy as well as Cincy OC Eddie Gran who has lots of pull in SF.

That Gran's name is linked to Florida Atlantic is no real surprise, he was a finalist for the position when Howard Schnellenberger retired, but Carl Pelini ultimately got the job. Gran got his start at Miami and made his living as a recruiter in Miami Dade and Broward counties throughout his career, but in particularly at Auburn and Florida State.
The departure of Gran would certainly result in shouts of joy from certain segments of the Bearcat fan base. Still, I think he has done a good job with the Bearcats offense. He has looked like a rookie play caller at times, but there is nothing philosophically wrong with the offense. The coaching carousel is starting early this year.
