American Power Rankings

Lets see how the teams stack up as we enter week 4.

Rob Leifheit-USA TODAY Sports

I have been busy, so I'm way late putting these out. To the five (too high?) people that read these, apologies.

What we know through a few weeks is that this conference pretty atrocious. The top few teams of the conference aren't, but once you get to the bottom of league, it's as bad as any FBS conference out there.

Power Rankings:

1. Louisville

Last week: Win 27-13 over UK. This week: vs FIU, Noon ESPN3

2. UCF

Last week: Win 34-31 over Penn State. This week: Bye

3. Cincinnati

Last week: Win 66-9 over Northwestern State. This week: @ Miami (OH), 4pm ESPN3

4. Houston

Last week: Bye. This week: vs Rice, 3pm Fox Sports

5. Rutgers

Last week: Win 28-10 over Eastern Michigan. This week: vs Arkansas, 3:30pm ESPN

6. SMU

Last week: Bye. This week: @ Texas A&M, 7pm ESPNU

7. UConn

Last week: Loss to Maryland 32-21. This week: vs Michigan, 8pm ABC

8. Memphis

Last week: Loss to Middle Tennessee 17-15. This week: vs Arkansas State, 4:30pm ESPN3

9. Temple

Last week: Loss to Fordham 30-29. This week: Bye.

10. USF

Last week: Loss to FAU 28-10. This week: Bye.

Houston, even though they sit at 2-0, I just don't think they are as good as UC. I also would've moved Rutgers ahead of them if they hadn't looked extremely mediocre against a bad Eastern Michigan team. UCF is exactly what i thought they were; one of the best teams in this conference. They will play South Carolina at home next week which is without a doubt the most intriguing matchup in the AAC so far.

Glaring conference note: The teams ranked 7-10 are without a win on the season with losses to Fordham, McNeese State, FAU, Towson being the ones that stand out.
