Welcome to this week's installment of "Weekly Whispers," our weekly series in which we keep Bearcat Nation updated on the latest recruiting news for the Cincinnati Bearcats. Lets see what happened this week on the recruiting trail.

Sails names top list

For now, the Cincinnati recruiting class for the 2016 cycle holds 14 members. One prospect that head coach Tommy Tuberville and the Bearcats would like to add to the group would be '16 CB KJ Sails from East Bay (FL). UC officially become one step closer to possibly adding the 5'11, 170-pounder to their class after he named his top three schools. Sails narrowed his recruitment down to just Cincinnati, Iowa, and Wisconsin this past Saturday.

On the same day, Sails also took to Twitter that he would be making an official visit to Clifton after his senior season to check out the UC campus. As things stand, it's the Badgers who are getting the most predictions when it comes to the three-star's likely destination.

8 new offers

The lone 2016 prospect to recieve an offer in the past seven days would be '16 SAF Cycoby Burch of Oak Ridge (FL). According to Corey Bender of Scout.com, the Bearcats immedately jumped into the top five for the Orlando native. Also included in the five for the three-star defensive back are Florida Atlantic, Indiana, Syracuse, and West Virginia.

Moving forward to next year's class, UC extended offers to '17 OT Cody Bowes, '17 LB Tyler Dunning, '17 OL Zachary Sweeney, and '17 LB Drew White from the state of Florida alone. Dunning is currently committed to Al Golden and Miami (FL), while the others are still in the process of making their decisions. Another 2017 offer went to WR Isaiah Robertson from Neuqua Valley (IL).

Lastly, '18 OT Sebastian Sainterling and '18 RB Tyrone Tracy were the two current high school sophomores to reel in Bearcats scholarship opportunities. Sainterling, like the majority of offers Cincinnati recently sent out, is from the sunshine state. Tracy is is a 5'10, 170-pounder from Decatur Central (IN) and the UC offer was his first of many to come.
