Cincinnati is heading into tonight's road test against BYU at 3-2. The Cougars are 4-2, coming off two straight wins against AAC competition, defeating UConn and East Carolina in recent weeks. Cincinnati was off last week, but last took the field at Nippert Stadium in a big win over Miami (FL).
Both teams have some questions at quarterback entering the game. For BYU, Tanner Mangum is expected to start, but he could be held out with a hamstring injury. The Bearcats, on the other hand, are healthy, with Gunner Kiel cleared and ready to go. However, with Hayden Moore's performances in Kiel's absence, it isn't so easy to swap back to Kiel as starter. Tommy Tuberville has said the starter won't be announced until game time and the decision would be based on an open competition from this week's practice. Either way, both quarterbacks have displayed an ability to move the offense down the field.
This game will be another tough one for the Bearcats. BYU is already a very talented team and the road trip to Provo, Utah only makes things harder. It will be interesting to watch.
