Seven years ago, Nippert Stadium was one of the final stops on the campaign trail for Senator Barack Obama. A crowd that numbered in the tens of thousands came to see the soon-to-be-elected candidate speak at the University of Cincinnati as he pushed in the final days of the campaign to win over the swing state of Ohio.
Obama ended up winning 51.4% of the vote in Ohio, earning him 20 of the 365 electoral votes that propelled him into the White House.
