I will be doing an opponent-specific video vault every week this season.
There isn't much to go on for Week 1 with Alabama A&M.
UC and A&M have never played before.
Ruben Studdard is all I've got to go on. A few weeks back, I did a piece about the most famous alumni from each of our opponents this fall. American Idol champ Ruben Studdard is Alabama A&M's signature alum.
For Week 1, I present you with Studdard's tour de force "Sorry 2004," which I assume the Bulldogs use in their locker room to get pumped up right before the kickoff.
To counter the emotive power of Studdard, I suggest that the Bearcats' pre-game preparations include the cranking of some Clay Aiken, Studdard's American Idol nemesis.
I think Aiken's take on the North-Zaret classic "Unchained Melody," which was popularized by the Righteous Brothers in the mid 1960s, will suffice to get our guys ready to ready to push A&M around Nippert Stadium.
