Tar Heels To Watch: TJ Logan

Let's take a look at the talented freshman back.

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sport

T.J. Logan was one of the top running backs in the country coming out high school. He had offers from Clemson, Ohio State, South Carolina among others. He decided to stay home and go to UNC. North Carolina isn't really a football powerhouse by any means, but man, they always have a substantial amount of athletes. Logan falls right in line with this. He only played in 8 games this season, but he's already started to show what he brings to the field. He's listed at 5'10 180 lbs. To me he looks and plays bigger than that. He can outrun defenders or he can run through defenders. Watching his highlights, the thing that impresses me the most is his vision. He does a great job at seeing cut back lanes after he takes the handoff.

In his limited playing time this year he had 456 yards rushing and 4 touchdowns. The best games TJ has had this season? The last two. 137 yards against ODU and 92 against rival Duke. He's also a threat as a receiver out of the backfield as he pulled in 9 catches for 120 yards. It doesn't stop there. He returns kicks, including one for a touchdown.

There's no doubt that Logan is a huge part of the UNC offense. The Bearcats defense(and special teams for that matter) will have their hands full trying to contain him.
