It took five weeks, but the Bearcats are back in the polls on the heels of Saturday nights heart stopping win over Virginia Tech. The USA Today SID Coaches Poll has the Bearcats ranked number 23, with 175 points. The Bearcats remain out of the AP poll, but only just so.
The Bearcats become the third Big East team to join the polls this season after Rutgers and Louisville. The Cardinals are 19 in the AP, but up to 16 in the coaches poll. Rutgers is at 22 in the AP, up one from last week, and moved up four spots in the Coaches to # 21. UC, Louisville and Rutgers have clearly set themselves apart from the rest of the Big East. Just a few weeks out from the first of three contests that will decide the conference when the Bearcats head south to Louisville for a Friday Night tilt.
