Bearcats 2014 Home Slate Officially At Paul Brown Stadium

Much as everyone suspected.

Andrew Weber-US PRESSWIRE

With an extensive, 15-month renovation set to begin at Nippert Stadium this December, the University of Cincinnati football team will play its 2014 home games at Paul Brown Stadium, Director of Athletics Whit Babcock announced.

The Bearcats, Cincinnati Bengals and Hamilton County will enter into a partnership to allow UC to move its 2014 home slate, which will be announced at a later date, downtown.

The good news is that this will probably dispel, forever, the notion that Paul Brown Stadium is where the Bearcats ultimate future is. Just looking at the home games in the non conference sends a shudder down your spine. Toledo, Miami and Stony Brook at home, and the best possible home game in conference would be Central Florida, maybe. Its a bit rough, but it is just for one year, which is the saving grace to this whole arrangement. No financial terms were disclosed, which at least gives me hope that UC isn't getting screwed like they did in 2011.
