Week 6 AP Top 25: Houston on the Cusp

Cincinnati has the week off, but some of the Bearcats' upcoming opponents are still pushing for AP Top 25 recognition.

Here's your Week 6 AP Top 25. Ohio State remains on top with 38 first-place votes, but the field is inching closer and closer with each close outcome for the Buckeyes. TCU, Baylor, Utah and even Texas A&M have earned at least one first-place vote.

Florida was a big riser this week, following their big home win over Ole Miss, who dropped 11 spots themselves. Clemson also jumped six spots with their win over Notre Dame, who dropped to No. 15. Georgia and UCLA also had big falls in the poll.

Cincinnati has the week off after their big win over the Miami (FL) Hurricanes, but upcoming opponents remain in the AP Top 25 picture. Houston, Temple and Memphis are just outside the Top 25, earning 31, 23 and 19 votes, respectively. Navy also has 19 votes, although Cincinnati likely won't see them this season unless both teams make the AAC Championship. Next weeks opponents, BYU, has received 3 votes, after spending some time in Top 25 earlier this season.
