College Football Viewing Guide: Week Five

It is not a great slate this weekend. Not at all.

Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

The only game that most of us care about starts at 6 on the Big 10 Network. But there are plenty of other good games on the docket for this weekend. The big problem is that you will have to suffer through (or not) a pretty dreadful stretch of noon games. Honestly there is nothing that is really worth watching until 3:30. Unless you like watching Butch Jones lose to Georgia. In which case you should watch that.

The headliner of the 3:30 slot is without question Arkansas against Texas A&M in Jerry World for some reason. The backup game for me there will probably be Washington hosting Stanford because I like big dumb football being played by good teams sometimes. Or if you like big dumb football being played in the most incompetent manner possible there is Temple and UConn.

For the night cap there is only one acceptable game to watch. But if you need something to do during the commercial breaks you should be making funny / inappropriate comments in our criminally under attended gamethread which will be live at 5 PM Saturday. But if you don't want to do that (and recent history suggests that no one but me wants to) Missouri at South Carolina which is pretty much the only option.
