Like most info to come out we should take with a grain of salt. The rumor is Oklahoma and Kansas have given the BXII and ultimatum to agree to add 2 more schools by December 31st or they will announce they are both going to the Big Ten. Supposedly David L. Boren told them "add two now or and two more in January when you have to find replacements!"
The rumor goes on to state that neither Oklahoma or Kansas is afraid of the Grant of Rights in the B12, because of the little talked about conference breakup clause. Both universities are of the impression that Texas would immediately bail on the conference, potentially with another member, and cause the B12 to loose its TV deal.
