Well that was a rather majestic ass kicking. So what if it came against a team that here to fore has been better known to me as the school that launched the coaching career of Paul Johnson into the stratosphere and that has flat out dominated FCS Football in a 15 year run that encompased 6 national champions. Of their Basketball pedigree, or lack thereof, I knew very little. It turns out there is a good reason for that. They have a few scattered NCAA and NIT bids but they aren't a Basketball school. So, nine games in UC is 9-0. At this point it is safe to say that UC is a good Basketball team, just how good? still have no idea they still are unproven on the road and have yet to face a big six school, though that will change quickly. Bottom line for me is that given the balance on offense, the precision of the defensive press in the full court, and the rotations in the half I have a lot more confidence in this team to acquit itself well in the coming Big East battles than I have at any point previous in the Mick Cronin era. The chemistry is good, the continuity is good and the play to date has been well balanced and generally excellent.
