Quarterback | Letters 1990-94
Two. Just two. That is the number of 4 year starters at QB that the Bearcats have had. Thats obviously not a lot. Everyone knows that Gino Guidugli is one. He was around forever and set a slew of records that have yet to be broken, and probably won't be again until the next four year starter rolls around. Gino was the second, Lance Harp was the original.
Harp is pretty much synonymous with Tim Murphy and his spell as the Bearcats head coach. Harp was his starter in four of his five seasons and got better as the team got better. His improvement culminated with the 1993 season which saw the Bearcats win 8 games for the first time since 1976. But Murphy and Harp moved on and the Bearcats went back to square one with Rick Minter.
