Cincinnati Bearcats Basketball Holds First 2011 Practice

And thus begins the first Bearcats Basketball season with real, live, flowering expectations. For most of the rebuilding project excitement was tempered, and for good reason. UC has plenty of really passionate fans and most of them were smart enough to figure out that Mick Cronin didn't have the peices in place for the first three years. OI course there was also that really loud, though not particularly large group of fans that wanted him fired yesterday, everyday. But that group was always small, and is rapidly shrinking. Now the pieces are in place without a doubt and UC looks like a good bet to be ranked in the pre season top 25 polls for the first time since the start of the 2003-04 season. At the same time a general pall has descended upon Clifton as uncertainty about conference affiliation and the uncertainty therein as it pertains to the Football team. All of which is particularly odd because I don't think anyone could have predicted a decade ago that the start of Basketball practice would pass as little more than a blip on the radar. The question is how excited are you about this season starting?
