It's not often that long snappers get much love. Most football fans couldn't tell you the difference between a good long snapper and a bad one. More often than not the job of the long snapper goes unnoticed, until they screw it up. The Bearcats just happen to have two Senior long snappers in Alex Aypan and Tom DeTemple. Prior to last year neither guy saw much action as they sat behind Mike Windt who was a multi year starter who is now plying his trade with the San Deigo Chargers. DeTemple won the starting job last off season and has performed admirably on the Bearcats rejuvenated special teams. Still both guys deserve shout outs for being the oft forgotten men on the team.
