The suspension of Yancy Gates may be lifted as soon as tomorrow nights game against the DePaul Blue Demons. The suspension stemmed from an incident with an assistant coach during practice last week. There is nothing concrete about what exactly transpired but most of the message board chatter has centered around a purported swearing match, for want of a superior term, between Gates and mystery coach number 1. Today was the first time that Gates had talked to Cronin in person, but Gates had been seeking Cronin out which is a positive development in my book. Yancy Gates runs hot and cold on the court, but UC absolutely needs him on the floor to win games in the Big East.
