Zach Collaros Injures Ankle, Will Not Return For The Cincinnati Bearcats

Zach Collaros was injured in the second quarter. It appeared to be a knee injury on the same knee that kept him out of the Syracuse game last year. Collaros was carted off the field and (presumably) taken to hospital. At the time of this writing (1:50 PM) there is no indication as to the severity of the injury to his knee. But the fact that Collaros couldn't walk off the field is telling.

In Collaros's stead the Bearcats will turn to Munchie Legaux who has been the back up all year long. The early returns weren't exactly promising, the pick wasn't great. That being said Munchie does have ability, particularly as a runner. He just needs to slow down and take things one play at a time. Oh and ride Isaiah Pead. In the first three series after the Collaros injury Isaiah Pead had one touch. That is not enough. I have no doubt that this team can rally in the second half and win, but its not going to be easy.

Update 1:59: It is being reported that Zach's injury is to the ankle, not to the knee as previously assumed
